Community Guidelines

These guidelines apply to all users of Overlander — nomads and hosts alike. Our community thrives when everyone acts with respect, honesty, and responsibility. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

Respect for People and Property

Treat every host and nomad with courtesy and respect. Respect the host's property, rules, and instructions. Leave each area in the same or better condition than you found it. Do not exceed the agreed capacity, make excessive noise during quiet hours, or engage in behaviour that disturbs neighbours or the local community.

Safety First

Do not use an area if you believe it is unsafe for your vehicle or personal safety. Report safety concerns through the platform immediately. Do not tamper with safety equipment, locks, barriers, or infrastructure. Carry appropriate vehicle insurance and ensure your vehicle meets roadworthiness standards.

Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited: providing false identity information or fraudulent payment methods; creating fake reviews or manipulating the rating system; harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users; subletting or reselling access to an area without the host's explicit consent; using an area for purposes other than vehicle parking (e.g. commercial activity, storage of goods); engaging in any illegal activity on or near a listed area; attempting to circumvent the platform's credit system or geofence mechanisms.

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines, please report it via in-app messaging or by emailing overlander@westhash.io. Include a description of the incident, relevant dates, and any supporting evidence. All reports are reviewed confidentially. False reports made in bad faith may themselves result in disciplinary action.

Enforcement

Overlander reviews reports and may take the following actions depending on severity: a formal warning; temporary suspension of the account; permanent removal from the platform. We aim to respond to reports within 5 business days. Users affected by enforcement decisions have the right to appeal by contacting overlander@westhash.io within 14 days.
